This Uganda Standard specifies requirements, sampling and test methods for supplementary foods intended for the management of moderate acute malnutrition (MAM) in persons from the age of 6 months up to 59 months. This standard does not apply to processed cereal based foods, fortified processed cereal based foods, fortified milled maize (corn) products, vitamin and mineral food supplements.
