This Uganda Standard specifies rules for the certification and for the self-evaluation of couplers to be used for the mechanical splicing of steel reinforcing bars. It includes requirements for the control of the manufacturing process of the couplers and for the verification of their conformity in the form of mechanical splices. This standard was published on 15 June 2021.
