Analysis of soaps- Determination of total free alkali
This standard specifies a method for the determination of the total free alkali content of commercial soaps, excluding compounded products. This method is not applicable if the soap contains additives which can be decomposed by sulphuric acid by the procedure specified. It is also not applicable to coloured soaps if the colour interferes with the phenolphthalein end point. This standard was PUBLISHED on 1999-12-03
